This year we will be holding our Tenth Annual Pasta Dinner Fundraiser in honor of Edmond on Friday, May 31st from 5pm-8pm.

Dinner will be served from 5:30-7. Stachey’s Pizzeria has generously offered to donate the food again this year for the event. The Raffle winner drawings start at 7. There are many great prizes available in this year’s raffle provided by local businesses in the community. Join us for dinner, raffles and live music by David Lacroix. We look forward to seeing you at the event this year!

This year’s scholarship winners will be announced shortly, next month. Stay tuned! Also, our 10th annual pasta night is scheduled for Friday, May 31st. More details as the date gets closer. Thank you to all for allowing us to continue honoring and remembering Edmond. We are a volunteer-run, 501(c)(3) organization and all proceeds go towards scholarships.

This Friday we held our Annual Memorial Pasta Fundraiser in honor of Edmond. With personal donations, admission and raffle ticket sales we raised nearly $5,000. Our ticket sales were good, selling about 120 tickets and we served a delicious meal donated from Stachey’s Pizzeria. Dave Lacroix, The Riverbirds, Bethany and Michael Scuderi, and Sunset Rhythm Band performed classic hits for the crowd and everyone seemed to enjoy the event.

Every year we award scholarships to Salem High School JROTC students and this event is very important in helping us continue to do that. To every person, be it friends, family or a member of the community, that showed up to this event we thank you for your time in helping us remember Edmond and your part in making this a success.

The 2018 SSG Edmond Lo Memorial Scholarships were awarded to four AFJROTC students. They are Chayla Allen, Sunni Holland, Ryley O’Brien and Carmela Souza. Congratulations on your well deserved achievement and best wishes to you all in your future pursuits of success.

The scholarships are given every year to AFJROTC Salem High School students who have demonstrated excellence in the program.

These awards are primarily funded by our Annual SSG Edmond Lo Memorial Pasta Dinner which will be held this Friday, June 1, 2018 from 5-8pm at the Salem High School Cafeteria. Doors open at 5pm. The meal, which was generously donated again by Stachey’s Pizzeria, starts at 5:30pm. We start announcing raffle winners at 7pm.  You do not need to be present to win the raffles but you will want to stay to hear the musical stylings of David Lacroix and other local musicians. As always, we appreciate the support of the community to keep this event going each year. Please come and support a great cause!

The Salem Exchange Club has donated $1,000 to the SSG Edmond Lo Scholarship Fund. Since the beginning of our fundraiser, the members at the Salem Exchange Club have continued to support our cause in providing scholarships to JROTC students in Edmond’s name. We are grateful for them and the positive impact they have on our community.

Exchange, America’s Service Club, is a group of men and women working together to make our communities better places to live through programs of service in Americanism, Community Service, Youth Activities, and our national project, the Prevention of Child Abuse.
